- Are your pieces food safe?
- Yes. I only use lead-free glazes and ensure that my pieces are properly fired. For all of my funcitonal work, I ensure that there is no crazing (hairline cracks due to poor glaze fit on the clay body) and also ensure that the glazes are properly fired to create a protective, water-tight barrier of glass on the piece.
- How much time does it take to make each piece?
- This is a tricky question as it varies from piece to piece. Mugs with a lot of design elements may take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. If the product has a lid, this can add time as well.
